I grew up in Metro Detroit Michigan, but now work and live in the city of Houston. After graduating from Wayne State University in 2009 with a Bachelors in Art Education and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in fibers and painting, I taught art at the High School level. I soon became the district’s authority on textile arts. I continue to make art to this day, as a sculptor who works with paint, craft, and everyday materials. While currently working on my MFA at the University of Houston, I give forms to fantastical creatures, from an invisible world, who mimic our personalities.
