I grew up in Metro Detroit Michigan, but now work and live in the city of Houston. After graduating from Wayne State University in 2009 with a Bachelors in Art Education and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in fibers and painting, I taught art at the High School level. I completed my masters of Fine Arts in sculpture from the University of Houston in 2017. I now teach sculpture and textile arts at UH. As a sculptor who works with paint, craft, and everyday materials. I give forms to fantastical creatures, from an invisible world while I explore myth, magic, gender and metal health.
